Day 1
Arrival at Bulawayo International Airport. Our guide will be waiting for you at the airport. Feel the welcome. Bulawayo is our second capital city. Our guide will then take you to Gweru, Antelope Park for about 1 ½ – 2 hour drive. Arriving at Antelope Park we then check in. Relax waiting for the evening lion hunt. Will have some drinks before the evening hunt. Dinner at the lodge at 1900hours.
Day 2
We will do the elephant interaction with Antelope Park guides. This will take us from 0700hours to 1030hours. 1100hours we then do the snake park. The guide will then take us and teach us about snakes of Africa ranging from the python to the deadly black mamba. 1200hours we do lunch at Antelope Park. This is an ideal stop over. We then do the 1500hours game drive in their concession. They have lots of wildbeasts, lions, zebras, impalas, redheartbeast, buffaloes and many more. Lion hunt is so spectacular seeing lions in their hunting action. It’s very memorable especially if they kill. Dinner at 1900hours at the lodge.
Day 3
0600hours lion hunt. Where else can you accompany lions for a hunt. Seeing them in this hunting technique. This is wonderful to watch. This will take us up to 1000hours. Breakfast then drive to Great Zimbabwe. Lunch at the Great Zimbabwe hotel. We rest because of the 2 ½ drive. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4
0600hours We go into full day tour of the ruins and caves. Great Zimbabwe is about 20km away from the Masvingo town. This is a ruined city, which is the UNESCO World Heritage site. It was built from 1100 – 1450 AD. It is rich in the cultural history of the Shona tribe which is a about 75% of the Zimbabwean population. The ruins which were built in 1100 – 1450 A.D is still standing today with its values. It was built in the Iron Age era. The monument covers about 722 hectares (1 784acres). At its the peak, it could have housed about 18 000 people. Great Zimbabwe acted like a royal palace for the Zimbabwean monarch, and would have used as a seat for their political power. One of its prominent features were its walls, some of which were over 5 metres high constructed without mortar, and still stands today.At 16:00 hours we end the day tour. Rest at the hotel waiting for dinner.
Day 5
0830hours will visit the village and see the chief with his 6 wives and he will explain in their culture how he manages the six wives and what it means in their culture to have more wives. 1100hours we will drive to Mapotos National Park. The drive is about 3 hours. Expected to arrive at Matopos Hill lodge around 1430hours. We will have some drinks and do the 1500hours game drive up to 1800hors. Dinner at the Matopos Hills lodge.
Day 6
Morning 0600hours rhino trek in the Matopos National Park. Matopos is a land scape of exposed granite rock outcrops shaped by the element of nature becoming the natural beauty that attracted the Ndebele king, Europeans and visitors all over the world. Experience the oldest rock formation eroded by weather and passage of time. This is the World Heritage site. Balanced rocks that looks like waiting for the slight push to roll down hill. Nowhere in Zimbabwe, if not the world, to see such. Also to see the rock paintings left by the bushmen. Rhino trek is done here. 0800hours visit the rock paintings used by the bushmen. Those paintings where used to mark their own territory not to be invaded by others. Also seeing the caves they used to stay as homes. This will include visiting the graves of Cecil John Rhodes and that of King Mzilikazi. King Mzilikazi died and was entombed there. He died in 1868. Cecil John Rhodes died and was entombed here at his request. Today his grave is visited by many in the world. This takes us to 1600hours.1800hours we go back to the lodge and wait for dinner at 1900hours.
Day 7
Morning 0600hours game drive up to 1000hours. 1100hours we drive to Hwange main camps. Check in at Sable Sands lodge. We have drinks and 1500hours we go for Sable Sands game drive in their concession. After that we have dinner.
Day 8
Full day Hwange National Park game drive. Hwange National Park is the 4th largest National Park in the world. It covers about 14 500km². If you want to experience the big game country, elephants roam freely-,lions rule without crowds. Hwange National Park being one of Africa’s prime location, is the gem that offers that and may more. Hwange National Park is haven to wildlife, lacking congestion, makes tourist to explore it at leisure. Hwange National Park has broken tarred roads and dirty roads making it a forgotten nature and making it a special place to explore. The park is unfenced and unbounded extending right into Botswana. This is home to large herds of elephants. Buffaloes, kudus wildebeest, elands, zebras, roan, gemsbok, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wilddogs and many more.
Day 9
0600ours morning game drive at Sable Sands concession up to 1000hours. We drive to Victoria Falls. This is a 2 hour drive. Lunch at Lookout café in Victoria Falls. Lookout café is one of the best cafes in the region. The environment is quite unique of its own kind. Visitors get the best view of the Batoka gorge whilst having their lunch. After lunch check in at Batonka lodge. Rest awaiting the 1630hours sunset cruise along Zambezi River. This is the 4th largest river in Africa. Here you are accorded chance of seeing the hippos in the mighty Zambezi River. Also the sixth super predator, the nile crocodile. Different species of birds for bird watchers. You will be served with snacks and drinks as you will be sailing the upper Zambezi. This will take us up to 1800hours. We wil be picked to go to the Boma “place of eating”. The Boma is a place of eating full of fun and entertainment. It’s an atmosphere of a carnival style. This is a buffet guaranteed for satisfaction in a movie style like. Be ready to be armed with appetite. Local specialities such as warthog and mopane worms are on offer. The Boma famous drumming will be a memorable one even with kids. This is to go up to 2230hors. Anytime you feel satisfied and wanting to go you may leave.
Day 10
Guided tour of the falls at 0700hours up to 1000hours. The falls are about1.8km long and about 70 – 108 metres deep the vertical chasm, cascading about 550 million litres of water that chasm per minute on peak season. Having about 17 vantage points from which to view the falls closely. The main four are, the devil’s cataracts, the main falls, the horseshoe and the rainbow falls. When walking along the pathways, you are like in a jungle constant roar of water welcomes you. Bird sounds of different species all over. 1000hours we are out of the falls. Visit the bridge and the activities that are taking place. The history of the bridge is then narrated to you by the guide. This will take us to lunch at the Lookout café. Lookout café has a unique style. It is built on the edge of the gorge. When you are eating you will be overlooking the Batoka gorge, watching those doing zipline, flying fox, bunji jumping and many more. 15000hours we may have the village tour. The village tour is the time to know the lifestyle and cultural living of different ethnic groups found in Zimbabwe. We provide a special guide who will take you and you are free to ask many questions as you would want to know. Morning transfer to the airport. END OF TOUR.
